Job Description
We have a traineeship position available for an applicant interested in starting a career in native production horticulture. The successful candidate will complete formal training while working with the Wholesale Coordinator to undertake the propagation and maintenance of native Australian plants for revegetation projects.

Core duties
• Plant propagation
• Plant care and maintenance
• Operation of irrigation systems
• Maintenance of nursery grounds, structures, and equipment
• Collecting and recording data

Essential Requirements
You do not hold a Cert IV or higher
• Willingness to undertake and complete a TAFE Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Production Nursery
• Genuine interest and motivation to work in native plant production
• Physically fit and hardworking
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Ability to work on a weekend roster
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions

Desirable
• Good Australian plant knowledge and identification skills
• Highly motivated and able to think for yourself
• Technical aptitude for irrigation equipment and small machinery
• Drivers licence
