On the 24th February 2018 we had our official launch for Every Tree Counts – Saumarez Creek Corridor.

Held at the Dangarsleigh Hall, we brought together landholders, donors and other interested parties for an informative session on our hopes and goals for the Saumarez Creek Corridor. We had three speakers on the night discussing a range of topics related to the corridor.

Local landholder Rob Curtis took us through his long experience with tree planting in the area, including successes and failures.

Kev Hartley from Earth Funerals discussed how the proceeds from Armidale’s future natural burial ground will directly assist with revegetation works.

Ecologist Andrew Hugget explained his research on rare and threatened birds and fragmented landscapes.
