Would you like to join us for an afternoon of planting, tea and cake? We are approaching the end of our two year project “Habitat and Haven”, funded by the Environmental Trust. This project has concentrated on the restoration and revegetation of over 7 hectares of threatened New England Peppermint Woodland and Ribbon Gum-Mountain Gum-Snow Gum-Grassy Woodland. With the help of you, our local community, 7000 trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers will have been planted over the lifetime of the project to restore this valuable area on the Salisbury Waters TSR. Thank you!
This project area forms one of the stepping stones for the cross-tablelands corridor that will link the eastern and western sides of the New England Tablelands. We will continue to maintain and add to this site over the coming years, and the lessons we have learned here will assist us with our future projects.
